In 2019, the Kiva ceremony was held for the first time as part of the Kumbha Mela. This remarkable and historic event was a collaborative effort between Parmarth Niketan, in association with Roots of the Earth, Ganga Action Parivar, Global Interfaith WASH Alliance and other like-minded organizations. It brought together spiritual and tribal leaders with indigenous wisdom keepers and participants from over 30 nations! It will be held for the second time in February 2025 to continue the prayer and action for the protection of sacred rivers.
